Our doctors have a combined 50 years of experience placing and restoring dental implants. Our team of highly trained oral and maxillofacial surgeons has placed over 10,000 dental implants. Our surgeons are board certified doctors and maintain privileges at the local hospitals where they treat comprehensive facial trauma and jaw reconstruction patients.
Our doctors are proud to complete hundreds of hours of continuing education each year in the effort to stay abreast of the modern advances in dental implant surgery. Baton Rouge Oral and Facial Surgery often provides continuing education with lectures and presentations to our dental colleagues in our community.
The surgeons in our practice are board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Our doctors are members of many professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Louisiana Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
In our state of the art facility, our staff is highly trained to deliver all forms of anesthesia, including general anesthesia, in our hospital-quality surgical suite. Baton Rouge Oral and Facial Surgery has full time board certified anesthetists on staff to assist in more complex surgeries.
General Anesthesia is an excellent option for the anxious patient to “go to sleep” for the procedure. We also offer “needle-less” gas anesthesia for our pediatric patients. IV sedation is available for minor procedures.
Our team of doctors has not only completed dental school but four to six additional years of oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. Our youngest partners in the group also completed medical school and have medical degrees. This additional training ensures each of our doctors is highly qualified to care for you and your family.
Our doctors are associate professors at LSU and are involved in the teaching of resident surgeons at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
Our state of the art facility utilizes all of the advanced technologies available today. We have a cone beam CT scan, CO2 laser, offer platelet rich plasma treatment, and iTero digital scanning and impressions. We also utilize computers to assist in technology referred to as Virtual Surgical Planning to perform the surgery on the computer prior to actual surgery. This allows our doctors to perform the surgeries more precise and exact.
Baton Rouge Oral and Facial Surgery is the oldest and largest practice in the state of Louisiana. Our office is comprised of four highly trained and highly experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeons who work together to develop treatment plans that are comprehensive and exact.
